Can’t Wait Til ’08 presents “Bush is Bad”
Tuesday 26 June @ 13:14:57
Old Arizona Theatre beginning July 6 The Minnesota premiere of the hilarious New York hit “Bush is Bad,” a theatrical and political event that finds the humor and song in all that is wrong with the current administration, will celebrate the fact that our long national nightmare is almost over.
“Bush is Bad” has been called “the love-child of The Daily Show and Forbidden Broadway” and “The Daily Show set to music.” The New York Theater Buying Guide raves: “It’s smart, hilarious, trenchant, and yet good-humored. It’s a potent antidote to the gloom and frustration that has settled like a miasma over our political scene.” Talkentertainment.com calls it, “A laugh till it hurts evening.” And The New York Times says the production “must be one of the few places on earth where the Downing Street memo--the British document that says the Bush administration saw military action as "inevitable" eight months before the invasion of Iraq--gets a big laugh.”
The Twin Cities event will be a madcap 80-minute theatrical party and rallying point where rotating casts of three veteran Twin Cities performers play everyone from Condoleezza Rice to Dick Cheney to the entire Bush clan. Even Crazy Ann Coulter makes an appearance.
