People Serving People
offers a shelter and a number of programs for the homeless. They are located at 614 South 3rd Street in Minneapolis, and can be reached at 612-332-4500.

Simpson Housing Services offers shelter and affordable housing to men, women, and children experiencing homelessness. They are located at 2100 Pillsbury Avenue South in Minneapolis, and can be reached at 612.874.8683.

Secure Waiting Space is an emergency shelter run by Catholic Charities. Call 612-338-8093.

The Web
All libraries in Minneapolis offer access to computers and the Internet. Here are a few useful online resources:

HUD's Web page offers a selection of resources, from shelters to emergency services. Just go to http://www.hud.gov/ and click the link marked "homeless" on the lower left of the page.

The Minnesota Coalition for the Homeless offers a number of useful resources and suggestions on their Web page: mnhomelesscoalition.org
