Letters to the Editor: U.S. logic...Russ in '08...Thanks John Marshall
Friday 28 April @ 14:24:59
Letters to the EditorSeriously-flawed approach
The U.S. government shows the flaws in its violent approach in Iraq when it encourages and create ways for Shiites and Sunnis to work together nonviolently.

While the U.S. government is trying to push peace on the Sunnis and Shiites, why don’t they use this peace approach on the “insurgents?” The U.S. says to the Sunnis and Shiites, stop killing each other, you are making it difficult for us to concentrate and focus on killing insurgents.

In a meeting between Shiite and Sunni imams [Islamic religious/political leaders], U.S. Lt. Col. Patrick Donahue told them that his Iraq experience reminded him of his experience in Bosnia: “The people in Bosnia were intermarried, just like you, they lived together just like you.” So is the attack on Iraq by the U.S. acceptable because Americans do not live in close proximity to Iraqis and also because Americans and Iraqis are not intermarried? Is violence only wrong when it is with neighbors? That is U.S. military logic in Iraq.

Commend Russ Feingold
Senator Russ Feingold (D-Wis.) has called for a censure of President Bush for his illegal wiretapping. Republican leaders have called Feingold a traitor, friend of terrorists, and are mounting a petition against him. If there is one notion that should separate America from the rest of the world, it’s that even the President has to obey the law. Senator Feingold should be applauded and supported for his efforts.

Thank you, John Marshall
Thank you, John, for doing what you believed was the right thing to do (DU Denial cover story, Pulse 4/12). Gradually, word is getting out concerning this devastating and disgusting curse that THIS COUNTRY put over on the world. Truth is ultimately the most powerful force known. History will record this leader [President Bush] as a dictator, deceptive, always lying, and one with absolutely NO morals.

The sad truth is that he claims that he is a Christian. John, NO person confessing Jesus as his Lord and Savior would do anything like this.

I am doing all I can to educate folks on this awful man and his weapons of eternal curse. With most of the media shut down and controlled amazingly by this man’s evil administation, not much truth is out there in radio or TV or newspapers.

I was given the incorrect IV at a hospital a few years ago. It destroyed my endocrine system, caused a brain tumor which is not removeable, and the loss of my airline career, home, health, and marriage. I can empathize with your situation.

The world needs to know of this uranium weaponry, the artificial hegemony, the dictatorial and manipulative and treacherous dealings of this “president.”
Many of the guys I used to fly with are dealing with issues from depleted uranium. This is a total sham.

I pray that you will receive the help you need. And John, thank you for serving my once-great country. I will pray for you.

Allen Mower
