Come on over to the American Swedish Institute (ASI) and help celebrate the 300th birthday of Carolus Linnaeus! Sweden’s most well-known scientist pioneered the naming system for all living things and still inspires curiosity about the natural world. Visit the ASI Kaffestuga (coffee shop) for a piece of birthday cake, see the Linnaeus photography exhibit and travel through Sweden with photographer Anders Bjorling and writer Roland Thorstensson at the Library Forum lecture at 7 p.m. The entire day is part of the ASI Linnaeus Birthday Celebration.
