Valerie Valentine mistakenly wrote that she had worked for MPIRG in a letter to the editor March 10th. Actually she has never worked for us (feel free to check our employment records) and probably worked for the FUND.
She does reference the FUND in her letter: “we made mad cash for the FUND” and also says that she canvassed for the Sierra Club and the Human Rights Campaign. MPIRG canvassers do not canvass for any of these organizations, they canvass for MPIRG. We are not affiliated with the FUND in any way, but our names (Minnesota Public Interest Research Group and (the Fund for Public Interest Research) are sometimes confused. I hope that the difference is clear now!
