It’s going to be hard to fill the vacuum left by the New Primitives no longer being the Thursday night house-draw at The Cabooze. The braintrust behind the scenes, though, just may have come up with a winner. The long venerated club is introducing “Cabooze Local Band Showcase Night.” No word, as of yet, on whether this’ll be a monthly, bi-weekly, weekly thing or whatever. But, you reasonably gotta figure from the title that it’s not a one-shot deal. And, considering how filthy rich the Twin Cities are in homegrown talent, Cabooze management should find itself avalanched by an onslaught of artists and outfits looking for exposure. We’ll have to see how it goes. Meanwhile, presented for your perusal are aspiring attractions Running Down Renee, Refuke, Emmaline Muchmore and The Bad Shine. 8:30 p.m; $5. 21+.
