Every week, now, we’re doing a great little feature on the Pulse Music Blog (pulsetcmusic.blogspot.com) where I write an on-the-spot review of a disc I haven’t heard yet as I’m listening to it for the first time. It’s how we keep it fresh and funky. Well, that and not capitalizing. I’m going to do my level-best to review local CDs, but my experience reviewing this one from Scott Walker was too much fun not to reproduce. This particular edition is from two weeks ago, but by the time you read this, there’ll be a brand-new one up and I have no idea what it will be.
okay, so i didn’t get any local cds today, and we just ran a bunch of local cd reviews in the print edition, so i’m going to check out something else today. i’m listening to sunset rubdown, which is another project of spencer krug, he of the hysterical vocals for wolf parade. but, i started listening to it before i got to doing this, so we’re going to pop out mr. krug and pop in scott walker.
